Duplex 2205 is commonly used in moderate corrosion environments and provides good strength and resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.
Super Duplex 2507 has a higher chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content, offering even better corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-rich environments, and higher tensile and yield strength compared to Duplex 2205.
Duplex Stainless Steel Flanges offer excellent resistance to general corrosion, pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. However, they may not be as resistant to certain forms of corrosion, such as sulfuric acid corrosion, where other materials like Hastelloy may be more suitable.
